Beijing Youth Development Foundation and Beijing Donation Center of Project Hope are youth charity organizations and social welfare organizations providing help for the youth and servicing for the healthy development of the youth by means of receiving donation of social circles; it is a legal organization approved by the government.

The main tasks of Beijing Youth Development Foundation and Beijing Donation Center of Project Hope are to improve the education conditions of poor areas by collecting capital, to provide financial aid for the needy students in accomplishing their study successfully, to provide medical and living aid for needy youth, to carry out environmental protection education, widely mobilizing the society to take part in environmental protection industry, and to promote exchange among the youth and improve their comprehensive quality by holding kinds of socially useful activities. Different projects are set up according to different assisted objects and different characteristics of various businesses. Donators can appoint donating projects, or choose general donation that is comprehensively arranged by the organization.

Beijing Youth Development Foundation and Beijing Donation Center of Project Hope have collected money and goods for more than 200 millions during its establishment in 1994 and the end of 2005, have built 249 hope schools in 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions over the country, have assembled and donated 321 sets of Sunchime Films for hope schools, have provided financial aid for 60227 needy primary and middle school students in pairs, have provided financial aid for 3494 needy university students, have discharged “love foundation” to 15474 needy youths in Beijing, providing living aid, have provided financial aid for education of 8971 children’s of migrant workers, and have donated and planted a Centennial Green Protection Screen of Trees of more than 20000 acres in the outskirts of Beijing, Feng Ning county and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The secretary-general of Beijing Youth Development Foundation and the corporate representative of Beijing Donation Center of Project Hope are undertaken by the same people. The two organizations share one office and are under integrated management. All of the activity funds of Beijing Donation Center of Project Hope are paid by Beijing Government and are not drawn form donation. Beijing Youth Development Foundation is an independently funded community; for donations that flow through the Foundation or with special requirement of donators, certain proportion of working fund are to be drawn under the negotiation between donators and us.
